There are just around 1411 tigers left in India. WWF-India is encouraging people to spread the word and show solidarity and support for tiger conservation.

The plight of the asiatic lion is even sadder. They are pretty much doomed I think, not enough genetic diversity left. The tiger can still be saved.
I would do anything to see India as it was 200 years ago with its lush jungles that inspired Jungle Book.
200 years ago you would also have been able to see the Asiatic cheetah. At one point there were 10,000 of them in India. Now the number's reduced to 0. There are about 300 odd Asiatic cheetahs left in the world now and they are all in Iran.
